MIL-Spec, GPS Disciplined Time and Frequency Unit

JJB’s AR51-09 is a compact, military-grade GPS-disciplined Rubidium Clock, providing exceptional stability and accuracy. Featuring a Rubidium Atomic Standard, the unit is phase-locked to an external disciplining source, such as GPS or other external inputs. Its outputs are derived from the Rubidium Atomic Standard, ensuring precise time and frequency even when GPS reception is interrupted.

The AR51-09 includes multiple Time of Day (TOD) inputs and outputs. It offers several Have Quick (ICD-GPS-060) Time Code outputs, along with over 20 1PPS outputs (PTTI ICD-GPS-060, TTL, and RS-422 formats), making it essential for secure radio communication and other critical timing applications. The unit also supports a Have Quick Time Code input for initial time loading and a 1PPS input for timing synchronization when GPS signals are unavailable.

Communication with the unit is facilitated via the Command Line Interface (CLI) over RS-232 or RS-422. The CLI provides Time, Navigation, and status data. Additional Time of Day formats, such as NMEA, IRIG-B, NTP, or PTP, are available as options.

The AR51-09 can be synchronized from three independent sources: internal GPS, external GPS, and other accurate independent timing systems. The synchronization source can be manually selected or automatically set by the user. The standard unit also features a LAN interface supporting NTP (Network Time Protocol) and offers monitoring and control via UDP or SNMP.

Designed for use in demanding military platforms such as fighter aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, shipborne systems, submarines, and mobile land platforms, the AR51-09 is built for rapid installation on vibration trays or can be securely mounted with fixing screws.
