The AR77 is a fully ruggedised, military-grade multi-function GPS-disciplined time server that offers precise time and frequency synchronisation. Integrating a Rubidium Frequency Standard, an internal C/A code GPS receiver (12 channels), and the option for a P(Y) code GPS receiver* (customer-supplied), the AR77 also supports input from an external 1PPS or frequency source.

This versatile unit offers various options, including multiple frequency outputs and several Time Code formats such as IRIG, Have Quick, and NMEA. The Rubidium Standard acts as a local oscillator, phase-locked to GPS or external inputs. All outputs are derived from the Rubidium Clock, ensuring accurate time and frequency even in the event of GPS or other input disruptions.

The AR77 includes up to three physical LAN interfaces, supporting UDP/SNMP for management and NTP (Network Time Protocol). These LAN boards can be configured for three different networks, each with a separate IP address, or for two networks with the third LAN board functioning as a redundant backup. Precision-Time Protocol (PTP) is supported on one of the LAN boards.

In addition, the AR77 provides multiple output options: 10 coaxial outputs, including two fixed (10 MHz and 1PPS), and 8 configurable outputs that can be selected from 1PPS, 10 MHz, and more. Additional outputs are available via a D-Type connector, offering differential RS422 outputs and Time of Day (TOD) outputs in multiple standard protocols, such as NMEA, IRIG-B, and Have Quick. The unit is housed in a 19” x 1U rack-mountable enclosure.
