The DS5000-00 Docking Station is designed to synchronize up to 12 AR50-05 Portable Cases simultaneously, ensuring uniform time and frequency across all connected units. The Docking Station receives input from a GPS antenna, processes the information, and aligns it with the system’s internal AR76 Rubidium atomic clock and time server. It then transmits the current time and frequency to all connected AR50 units. Additionally, the Docking Station charges the AR50-05’s internal battery and provides a real-time on-screen display showing the status of each unit, including battery status, time updates, frequency lock, and any deviation from the desired frequency.

The DS5000-00 Docking Station is fully redundant, featuring two Rubidium-based time servers and two AD12 splitters that distribute Have Quick and 1PPS signals to all connected portable clocks. It also includes an electrical backup system, ensuring continued operation even during power disruptions. The unit features a user interface screen that provides real-time data on the status of each connected unit.

The system consists of three rack-mount units, which are connected side-by-side. The left and right rack mounts can hold up to six AR50-05 calibration cases each, securely housed in dedicated pullout trays. The central rack contains the processing unit, two AR76 Rubidium atomic clocks, two distribution units, power supply units, A/D converters, and a UPS power unit to ensure stable operation.
